The flagship of our trinity range teeling small batch consists of hand selected casks of grain and malt whiskey initially aged in ex bourbon casks for up to 6 years and then married together for more than 6 months in ex rum cask from central america imparting a unique dried fruit profile. This small batch bottling consists of hand selected casks which are given an additional 6 9 months further maturation in ex rum barrels imparting extra character and a distinctly smooth flavour unique. Dont want to dilute the flavor. A mix of grain and malt would be reminiscent of black bush but the rum cask maturation and stronger strength make this a completely different whiskey to its northern cousin.

Nice smooth taste subtle back notes of dark rum. Its a nas expression but its said to be at least 5 years old. The teeling small batch is a blend of around 35 malt whiskey and 65 grain whiskey. I like single malt scotch but this has been my main purchase in the last few weeks.

Teelings are currently building their own new distillery in dublin. I would almost say that in this case the abv is a tad too high for the young and underdeveloped spirit. Since the teelings parted company with cooley the company they started weve been waiting for their return and here it is teeling whiskey.
